Palace says Yes

The Palace Theatre opened in June 1911 as the third Los Angeles home of the San Francisco-based Orpheum vaudeville circuit. Along with the Pantages Theatre a block north, it marked the migration of the theatre district from Main Street to Broadway, two blocks west.

It was renamed the Palace when the fourth Orpheum opened in the 800 block in 1926, and became a movie theatre, inaugurating a policy of double features. It closed to the paying public in late 2000.
