Day to Night Barbie Home & Office

I had a couple of requests to post this. I've been too lazy to dig the actual toy/doll out of my closet, but I did find the box! :3 It's a really ingenious little toy, everything folds up nice and neat and it was so fun to play with. I played with it my entire childhood until I was like 13!

I LOVED her murphy bed when I was a kid and wanted to live in Barbies cheaprent apartment xD I like her because she reminds me of my mom in the 80s.

This set is rockin'! I wanted this so bad when I was little. Her shoes are awesome. I don't think I have seen a pair like them since then.

I really think it ranks up there with the all-time greatest playsets for Barbie. It's really as nice as the fold-up houses she had back in the 60s. It's very portable and easy to carry, and I think that's important for a good toy. I really don't think I've seen a playset this nice for a long time. I still have the shoes and value them greatly! xD They really don't match her "night" ensemble at all. Thanks for the comment! :D

I'll bet there are people in tokyo who would pay handsomely for an apartment this spacious.

The Ken photo is my favorite detail, i think.

What ever happened to this kind of barbie - the ones that inspired girls to be doctors or lawyers or vets or even a mechanic? Now we have glamour and nothing but glamour. Whats next Hooker Barbie? Sucide because you can sell your looks barbie?

Yeah, it's kinda sad. When Barbie started back in 1959, she was a "teenage fashion model", but even then she managed to do honorable things, be a nurse, be an astronaut, babysit, go to college... all a bit shocking or at least progressive back in the early 60s. Later she was a doctor, and ran for president. Now those kind of career based dolls are kind of rare, I think it's not really Barbie's fault, blame it on the Bratz. They're tough competition for media-entrenched little totlets. Poor elderly Barbie has to compete against those young harlots for little girls' hearts! I'm still on her side, though.

this was one of my favorite toys ever.
My dad just found the carrying case in our storage, all beat up and broke, it had to be in storage for 25 years.
I must have carried that case everywhere when I was a kid.
