This wild NORTHERN CAIMAN LIZARD Dracaena guianensis (Family Teiidae) was photographed from a canoe passing beneath the limb on which the lizard had laid itself out on October 19, 2002. This Northern Caiman Lizard photo was taken in eastern Ecuador, in the Amazon region along the Río Napo a few hours downstream from Coca. Photo by Peter Wendelken.
