I was taking a slow walk through the Centre Place and this lovely red flower reaching out from the top of Sara’s hair caught my attention. She had the contents of her handbag spread across a table frantically looking for something.
I waited for a minute or so until she was all done and then she quickly disappeared into a nearby sandwich shop. Ok I was going to have to be patient again – certainly a required trait for stranger photographers !
Once Sara had exited the shop I approached her and launched into my stranger spiel. She didn’t seem the least bit surprised – in fact stated that she had her photo taken quite often as she busks in a band that plays around Melbourne most weekends.
So there was no hesitation in posing for a few shots. If anything she was probably a little too quick for me and the little MF lens. Anyway managed a couple of keepers. I quite like the engaging eye contact here. Very captivating.
So thank you Sara – you have become #194 in my ongoing stranger’s project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page
