Photographer at Largo Grey - Torres del Paine National Park

While staying at Largo grey in Chile a couple of years ago. There were a large number of photographers with a lot of expensive equipment. I felt somehow inferior with a simple Nikon P50 point and shoot. Since then I have learnt that it isn't the camera that makes a good shot (true it helps with the quality of the image). Even the best exposed, sharpest pictures can be boring and of no interest. If the subject matter holds no interest for the viewer then the picture fails no matter what the quality. Don't get me wrong correct exposure and sharp focus help an image (and better equipment makes life easier for the photographer) but you can still produce interesting pictures with budget equipment, a good eye and a good understanding of how your camera works.
