St Joseph, Uppingham Road, Leicester

Finished in 1968. According to a very informative leaflet produced by the Leicestershire Historic Churches Trust it was the first church built in Leicester that reflected the liturgical principles of the Second Vatican Council, i.e. it's an open church with a central altar. The architect is Tom Wilson, whose son still has a practise in Oakham, Leicestershire. This is at the junction of Uppingham Road and Goodwood Road.
