The "Victoria Coffee House", Granby Street, Leicester

38 - 40 Granby Street, Leicester (on the left of this photo) is a Grade II listed building, formerly the Temperance Coffee House built in 1888. Designed by Edward Burgess, friend of Thomas Cook, who designed several other buildings in Leicester, including other coffee shops and schools and one of my favourite buildings in Leicester, Alexandra House.

Compare it with this photo taken in 1889.
