12,08.24 Saint Andrews, Scotland
We toured the Ruins of the Castle of Saint Andrews, built in the 1200s. It had been the main residence of the town's bishops and archbishops. Ruined and rebuilt several times over the centuries, it finally fell into neglect in the 1600s. During the reign of William and Mary, it became a ruin and has remained so to this day. After touring the castle ruins, Cliff and I strolled for an hour or so through the town of Saint Andrews, along the waterfront.
