Bel Air was built in 1740, by Major Charles Ewell. It is the oldest home in Prince William County, Virginia. Parson Mason Weems lived here and is buried on the property. George and Martha Washington were overnight guests of the Ewell's on their honeymoon journey to Mount Vernon.
