Secretary Arsenio Balisacan discusses infrastructure development at 2014 Mid-Year Philippine Economic Briefing
Economic Planning Secretary Arsenio M. Balisacan opened the first panel forum of the 2014 Mid-Year Philippine Economic Briefing at the Philippine International Convention Center on September 30, 2014. He underscored infrastructure development’s critical role in the growth and competitiveness of the Philippines and its major economic sectors in reducing poverty and creating quality employment, among others.
“Infrastructure development remains one of the top priorities of the Philippine government to help sustain the robust economic performance and the improved confidence level among the international business communities that the country is currently enjoying,” said Balisacan in his opening statement for government’s top economic managers, business leaders, analysts, the media, and other stakeholders.
