DDG Esguerra graces the National Workshop on Services
NEDA Deputy Director-General (DDG) Emmanuel F. Esguerra (left) joined government agencies, multilateral agencies, the private sector, civil society organizations, and the media last June 2 during the National Workshop on Services at the AIM Conference Center in Makati City.
On behalf of Economic Planning Secretary and NEDA Director-General Arsenio M. Balisacan, Esguerra welcomed the participants by reading the NEDA Chief’s opening statement.
The NEDA DDG also served as a resource speaker during a session where he talked about the characteristics of the services sector in the country, the geographic advantages that the Philippines has which further attracts investments in the sector, and some the policy challenges faced especially on policies, and such related initiatives by the government in areas such as foreign equity ownerships.
Esguerra also reiterated the government’s pursuit of inclusive growth, highlighting the need to observe the measures identified in the Updated Philippine Development Plan 2011-2016.
