During the lunch hour today, the third egg hatched and revealed a healthy peregrine falcon chick. This is only the third time that we've had three chicks hatch, yet I'm still hopeful for the fourth egg to hatch this week.

Scorpio and P/D, the female and male peregrines that reside on the building were I work, are 13 years old and, unfortunately, are heading into their golden years. It has been so rewarding to work with these wonderful creatures and I'm looking forward to banding day (probably May 31).

Please check out their webcam on and click on the falcon cam tab at the top.
