I've loved processing the pictures from the Roost. Each one has been an adventure of its own, animating lifeless objects and doing the inverse to people. In all my recent work I'm enjoying playing with new forms of surrealism that even surprise myself. This is one of those pictures I feel so satisfied with, that my conviction takes over any insecurity about its reception, take it or leave it (I wish I could feel that every time).
Inspired by everything Mark said
"Don't worry too much about meaning. If you put yourself into a meaningful situation, meaning will find you" (Philip Lorca DiCorcia)
-Nice quote from the Brit Journal of Photog, but I would make my own version:
Don't worry too much about meaning. Work instinctively with the aesthetics of a shoot, and allow meaning to find you, both during the shoot and after the fact.
