Long-billed Curlew (Numenius americanus) DSC_0037

North America's largest shorebird, the Long-billed Curlew breeds in the grasslands of the Great Plains and Great Basin. Curlews and other shore birds are numerous during spring migration at Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in southeast Oregon.
