Race fans stand with pride with their hands over their hearts as the national anthem is played and a company of soldiers from the 82nd Airborne displays a large American flag at Charlotte Motor Speedway as part of the pre-race festivities before the running of the Coca-Cola 600 Sprint Cup NASCAR series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C., on May 26, 2013. Nearly 200 North Carolina National Guardsmen, service members from all branches of the military and their guests were treated to a pre-race pizza party/concert before taking the parade lap on buses and then making their way to their seats. The 600 mile race was full of fun, speed and competition.
