FORT BRAGG, N.C. – A Georgia National Guard Soldier at training for disaster response at Operation Vigilant Guard here, Aug. 30. Vigilant Guard is a multi-day training exercise with hundreds of participants, including the North Carolina National Guard and National Guard units from several states, and federal and state agencies. The exercise strengthens bonds among civilian, National Guard and Federal response partners in order to enhance their preparedness for critical support tasks associated with emergency response operations.
