Dwarf Fishtail Palm, Chamaedorea metallica

The Dwarf Fishtail Palm (Chamaedorea metallica) is a small palm native to Mexico. It grows 3-5 feet tall with metallic blue-green leaves that can get 30 inches long. The male and female flowers are produced on separate plants. This species is endangered and threatened by expanding coffee plantations.
