Cold Feet
I went out Sunday in search of a great sunset, but was skunked due to increasing clouds moving in which would have otherwise been some epic light. On my drive back home, I noticed this river which was pretty high due to all the melted snow this past week. I decided that I would come back the next day.
The next day I retuned and parked my car off the side of the road. As I hiked through the slush and water, I realized my socks were soaking wet. Determined, I was not going back to retreat to my car. I was probably out shooting different compositions for over an hour, in wet socks. This image, I feel, was my strongest composition of the afternoon. Of course I had to process this image in monochrome. This area would be pretty sweet for color come spring/fall.
