Wow, this is great shot. Is the vignetting from lens or did you Photoshop it? Anyway, still a great shot.

The brilliance of a great photograph is when it looks good on all sizes. This is one great example. When you look at the default size (which is shown on this page), you want to see more on the larger size of the image and experience the details. Great work.

Thanks Nadee :-) Vignetting was added in lightroom. Thouh vignetting is usually considered a characteristic of a 'bad' lens, I feel sometimes it helps to enhance a composition. In this case, the sun was pretty bright from the top left hand corner which significantly lightened the sky in that side. I added the vignetting to compensate for that.

This is a really great looking shot !! Great colour and composition and a perfect sky ! Although I would like the clouds to be a bit more in focus.

Wow... Can you get the same effect from PS (vignetting).

    10. NavindaK 86 months ago | reply

      Thanks Thishya, Hiranya & Charith.

@Charith: Yes. But in PS its not directly called vignetting. Make a rectangular (or any shape you prefer) selection smaller than the full frame, invert the selection, feather the selection by nn number of pixels, (if needed, do a 'layer via copy' to get this to a new layer), use the level adjustments to darken the selected area which would give the effect of vignetting.
