Sunset at Oxbow Bend on the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.
Grand Teton National Park was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, and a fantastic place to view wildlife. While trying to photograph some beavers and a moose at this beautiful spot on the Snake River, I noticed a diligent osprey catch a fish in the river. A few seconds later, a lazy eagle swoops down and attempts to grab the fish from the osprey. The startled osprey freaks & drops the fish....right into the waiting bill of a patient white pelican! A few minutes later, a bear cub appears on the road above me. All this was pretty amazing to me--squirrels are the most amazing wildlife I get to see at home. In the end, I brought home no good photos of beavers or moose or osprey or eagles or bears, or even the pelican--but I did get to see this beautiful sunset along with this lone fisherman, who was as successful as the osprey at fishing that night.
