Benthic Lander

    Newer Older

Benthic lander designed at UNC-W for deploying multiple instruments and experiments to the deep-sea floor. Data collected by these platforms provide measurements of environmental variability that are normally unattainable. The lander is brought to the surface remotely using acoustic releases that drop the anchor weight. Photo courtesy of Steve W. Ross, UNC-W.
