Review by Coruscant music journalist, Matt Powell: "The impact of EMPYREKILLER on the Cannibal Thrash scene almost cannot be overstated. Twenty years after their debut cut, the scene is dominated by groups emulating EMPYREKILLER's style such as Flint Bird and one-time tribute bands like Meat Drop and Eat Chutta. The second most significant faction within the Cannibal Thrash scene is composed of bands like Mögrl, Blüdmaw, and the ever-controversial Mänge, who define themselves as opposed to EMPYREKILLER and as the more 'real' and 'gritty' face of the Death Metal cannibal scene.

In related news, Maggöt, the bald bassist for Mänge, as been accused of misrepresenting himself to fans for claiming that his hairlessness was the result of disease and a lack of hygiene, instead of hereditary alopecia universalis. He called for a press conference where he screamed incoherently and disemboweled his publicist.

Fans have responded positively."
