8842: Laughing with Juvenile Inmates

The number of juvenile inmates in the Marion County Jail usually hovers around 40, but the command staff of the Jail understands that this population of inmates are still developing mentally and still need the care and attention of adults. Jail Commander James Martin and Major Tanesha Crear ordered a special lunch of cheeseburgers and chips in early 2016, and sat down with the juveniles to listen to what they have to say, and to also inform them of some upcoming programs based on good behavior. This photo of Major Tanesha Crear laughing with these young inmates really captures the heart of our Sheriff's Deputies in the Jail Division.
