Overhead Railway Carriage goes home
Photos of the very first object being delivered to go on display in the new Museum of Liverpool. Also one of the largest objects, the carriage from Liverpool's former Overhead Railway (known as the dockers' umbrella) was driven along The Strand to the new museum building - quite a symbolic journey as it traced part of the route that the railway originally took.

The Museum of Liverpool opens in 2011.
