    Women Reading must be a phenomenon back then... hehe.
    What should be a worry for all of us is Reading now becomes one in our darn rushing time.
    (I mean good-reading which gives great effect only.)

    The odd thing is that women's occupations (if they were not poor) did not vary much in the 100 years since Jane Austen wrote about them sitting round reading, doing needlework and such. At least this lady could ride a bicycle or even go tobogganing.
