The Auckland Fire Brigade at drill in Beresford Street using the 85 foot Simon's ladder. Two firemen are up the ladder with a hose; the one at the top is aiming water over the building below. Other firemen and onlookers are standing on the street watching. Pitt Street Methodist Church is in the background.
