Map of the density of bombing, London region, to October 1941 (HO193/45)

Over the course of the Second World War, London was heavily bombed. This colour coded map was created by the Home Office in 1941, showing the amount of bombs that had fallen in the first year and a half since the bombing began in June 1940. The path of the Thames is clearly visible through the map, showing the highest intensity bombing around Central London and the docks.
