Discovery space: Future space
04 Oct to 14 Oct 2011

Have you thought about what your place will be like in the future? Do you think your house will be built out of bricks and on a block of land, or will it be floating in space? How will it be powered?

Inspired by Kspace, a three-dimensional interactive National Museum experience that allows participants to imagine what life could be like in the future, children designed and built their own model house of the future out of household and industrial materials. They also contributed to a futuristic cardboard city installation.

These photos show the children who participated in the October 2011 school holiday program in Canberra.
