Farmers' Market

    Newer Older

Jackson, Mississippi. There's a new Farmers' Market in Jackson, new as of a few years ago, but I prefer this old one (as do most people I know).

Ms. Natalie, I used to work here as a teenager. I know this well! I could make those tomatoes shine!!! I worked for Ann Patrick!

All the lovely colors of fresh produce--how I love a Farmer's market :-)

I will definitely return and take more pictures. I took this one today while on my way home from a (very brief) graving trip in west Jackson, celebrating the fact that my jury duty is now over and I can get back to working on a huge party I'm having Saturday. I stopped by the Farmers' Market to check out the tomato situation (since the ones in my yard aren't ripe yet -- and since the birds are probably going to beat me to them when they do get ripe), remembered I had the camera with me, and took a picture. I can attest that those tomatoes from Bassfield are good. I ate one for lunch. I'm about to try the green beans I also bought.

Mmmmm That almost looks worth the drive over since we don't have one.
