Jazz Loft Project: Window Frame
The Nasher Museum is asking visitors to share photographs to enhance the exhibition "The Jazz Loft Project: W. Eugene Smith in New York City, 1957-1965" on view February 3 - July 10, 2011.

W. Eugene Smith photographed the street below his fourth-floor loft. He took some of these photos through a broken window that had been painted black. This jagged opening created an unusual frame.

You can try using this frame to compose your own photos. Download a free app for your smartphone (Droid users search for "Nasher Museum" in the Droid Marketplace. iPhone app coming soon), or use a Photoshop version: nasher.duke.edu/app/windowmask.psd

Submit your photos to be shared here and in the Nasher Museum galleries.
