Marianne McLeish of Sander Geophysics Ltd. in Ottawa, Canada, and Mike Wolovick of Columbia University's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory in Palisades, N.Y. keep watch over data collected by the gravimeter and magnetometer instruments flying on the P-3 during Operation IceBridge's Arctic 2011 campaign. The gravimeter looks for water-filled cavities below the ice and the magnetometer collects precise measurements of Earth's magnetic field. The flight on April 8, 2011 surveyed glaciers and an ice cap in southwest Greenland. Credit: NASA/Jefferson Beck
