Marianne McLeish of Sander Geophysics Ltd. in Ottawa, Canada, and Mike Wolovick of Columbia University's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory in Palisades, N.Y. keep watch over data collected by the gravimeter and magnetometer instruments flying on the P-3 during Operation IceBridge's Arctic 2011 campaign. The gravimeter looks for water-filled cavities below the ice and the magnetometer collects precise measurements of Earth's magnetic field.
