Discovery Flies Over NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center

Space shuttle Discovery flies over NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., on the back of a modified 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft April 17 during its final voyage to the Smithsonian’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Va. The flight path included Goddard as a nod to the many support and communications specialists working with the Shuttle program here at Goddard during Discovery’s 39 missions.
