B&O Coal Train

A Baltimore & Ohio 2-8-8-4 "Yellowstone" leads a coal drag over the Sandsoft River in 1952. The B&O bought 30 of these powerful articulated steam locomotives from Baldwin Locomotive Works when World War II limited the supply of diesels.

The Bachmann locomotive — along with all of the hoppers in the train — belong to NAPM member Dan Christiansen.
