Entrance of The Ice Hotel 2011-12

Haven't posted new photos for a long time. Been so busy. Finally got a chance for a short vacation in the Arctic Circle (only 20 degrees from the North pole)!

THE ICE HOTEL in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden has always been on my bucket list. I can finally cross it out.

The Ice hotel is completely made out of blocks of ice (cut from Torneträsk river) and snow. Since ice is a good insulation, the inside of the hotel stays at -5 c (23 F) at the time while the outside can reach as low as -20 c (-4 F).

The ice color is so indescribably beautiful. No cameras and photographers can capture its beauty. You have to be there and see it in person.
