Explore ---- No!!!! . . . . . Desktop ------ Yes!!!
One day in my life of having the grace to live in such a glorious world! (July 21, 2011)
All of these photos were my "rejects" when it came to consideration of whether they would be the "Best" --- at someone else seeing the beauty I did at the time I clicked the camera. A totally DUD day because of focus, lighting, too far away, too close, too morbid, too mundane, too repetitive, too staged, too fuzzy, and quite frankly the one of the fly --- way too icky!!!! Yet for some reason I made a mosaic of these images and now have it on my desktop, because every image shows how enthusiastic, how passionate, how very much in love I was with everything I saw, that day!!!
I have had many photographs that have been chosen for Flickr's Explore in the last 2 weeks ------ I am so honored, but also curious about how the process works. It is a computer that randomly hits on every 2,000 photos uploaded, are folks actually black-balled from Explore, and no matter how excellent their photos are, they will never again be picked, ----- or is there some special aspect of that particular photo that projects the "interest" of the photographer that catches someone --- or "something's" eye?
