Mike-Monkey in the Bamboo Forest

Newer Older

While talking to Jordan Schwartz at the Brick Magic event I expressed my wish to resurrect the Exo-Force line one day, he wanted to to bring back Fabuland. He then suggested maybe bringing them both back as one theme - and thus Fabu-Force was born. (Exo-land being a silly name...)

Love this idea! Really sweet mech design! Is there going to be a group for this theme, you must make one!!!!

Lots of fun and a pretty sweet mech to boot.

I didn't appreciate exo-force when it was here, but boy, what I wouldn't give to get it back.

Just with less jungle...more urban. Think of the possibilities...

So, is that humans versus Fabulanders? :D

I got all the Life On Mars sets, when Exo Force was out I didn't buy so many of them, as I'd already devoted my lego expenses to Bricklink by then. Another mecha theme would be cool. I think maybe ExoForce was competing with Bionicle.

Excellent shaping, well done on keeping the mech monkey-like! Can't wait to see the aligator mech...

I am seriously and totally in love with this! I wish it were a set because I'd buy a whole army of them and make them my evil minions and take over the planet.

Nice Mech! Exo-Force was a great theme and I really wish it was still around. Great Job! :)

Thanks everyone. This whole thing came out of my wish to resurrect Exo-Force (and if I ever get the chance I will) colliding with Jordan's wish to revive Fabuland.
Exo-Force actually lasted 3 years, that's a very long time for a recent line, but I still feel it had a lot to give! I'm afraid it's probably too late for Fabuland, but it's part of my childhood (even if it was 'my sisters LEGO') and I will always have a soft spot for it.
As for the Exo stickers, yes, coolest ever, and incredible versatile for Sci-fi MOCs, but far too many for most kids - still, I hope to help get some just as useful/cool into some other line one day!

" I expressed my wish to resurrect the Exo-Force line one day..." so that makes two of us. ex-force was by far my favorite line, and it's almost impossible to sift through my lego collection without finding the remains of a battle machine.
