Thanks Eric for sharing your beautiful pictures, especially the Yemen-ones! Merci beaucoup Eric pour nous donner le droit de voir votre merveilleux photos! Chapeau! Of course many moslim-ladies have a lot of fun and enjoy to be photographed, although veiled. Why not? Omani-women anyway are very proud of wearing their "mask" and I was often asked to take their picture! While traveling with "my Dutch lady" (I am from Amsterdam by the way) through Oman, she was often taken aside to be "veiled up" ("masked up") by the local Bedouin! No hesitation, no problems at all ("mafi muskellah!") just some hilarity and a lot of fun! Even the mask was offered to her for free! (without the obligation to wear it during our trip) While traveling in Egypt, a bride even unveiled herself to be photographed by me! Although their strong Wahabite religion, even some Saudi-women asked me to take their picture! Unfortunately not all these pictures are worth seeing ... but (once?) I will put them on Flickr.com as well, just to show it is all true! Once "my lady" was invited into a Yemeni house (I had to stay outside because! it is "haram" to men to enter the house) and she was really astonished to see how women behave and were dressed up inside the house! No veils, no black "robes", just beautifully dressed ladies with a lot of ornaments, "bulging in the right places" and very proud of themselves! They even used a binocular (telescope) to watch me, sitting in the surrounding gardens! That's anyway what "my lady" told me later.
