Heather Meadows

Constructed as a warming hut by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1940, today this building houses the Heather Meadows Visitor Center. The handicap ramp, built in the same stone design, was added in the 1990's.

Heather Meadows is located in northwest Washington State, near the end of Mount Baker Scenic Highway. At an elevation of 4200 feet, Heather Meadows is an area of exceptional beauty.
