Fisherman on Inle Lake - Myanmar - #2
Inle lake is situated in the Shan State in the eastern part of Myanmar.
The lake, 22 km long and 10 km wide, is famous for its scenic beauty and the unique leg-rowing and the conical fish traps of the local fishermen - called Inthas - who live on the lake, and support themselves through the tending of vegetable farms on floating gardens.
Most transportation on the lake is traditionally by small boats, or by somewhat larger boats fitted with outboard motors.
