Przewalski's Horse

Przewalski's Horses are the a subspecies of the wild horse and the only true wild horses to survive. They died out in the wild in the 60's, with a small number surviving in zoos from which they have been re-introduction programmes.

This herd belongs to Marwell Zoo, living in a semi-wild state on a private 40ha area.
