Triops cancriformis

After tarantulas and scorpions, I will focus 2019 on an entirely new kind of ancient and overlooked animals: Triops. This means a ton of new macro images, new posters and a new collaboration, this time with Triopsking. New images every weekend.

You can buy Triops eggs here.

Triops cancriformis, is a species of tadpole shrimps found in Europe to the Middle East and India. This species is considered to be one of the oldest living species on the planet at around 200 million years old. Fossils of this species from the Upper Triassic (Norian) period appear virtually unchanged compared to modern day members of the species. Wikipedia
