Hurricane Irma

The winds of Hurricane Irma were first felt in the Florida Keys on September 9, 2017. As of 2 A.M. ET Sunday Sept. 10, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) placed Irma about 70 miles southeast of Key West with winds of up to 130 miles per hour. 2 A.M. on Monday, Sept. 11 it made landfall in Tampa. By 2 P.M., Jacksonville felt Hurricane Irma's wrath as a tropical storm.
