Is this textured wallpaper, Shanon? I love the botanical design! I just can't get over your eye for complementary colors and designs. You really have a gift =) I can't wait to check out more of your blog, too! I did look at it the other day and saw the hollyhock shot - I can't wait to plant those seeds next spring!!

Thank you Boo, and thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on this. I hadn't thought about the contrast between the two before.

Ahhh, Kelly, it's actually wrapping paper! Isn't that nuts? I used some, but now I'm just gonna save the rest. It's too pretty. =) I hope your seeds turn out well! And I'm hoping the same for me too! Haha, next summer we can post all our hollyhock shots together. ; )

Absolutely gorgeous! I also love the different textures here, especially the wonderful texture of the naturey stuff (I don't know what they're called in english :) ). I also love those soft yet rich colours... Well done! Oh, and hope you have a lovely friday!
  • Steven 7y

Stunning colours and textures here. You have a great eye.
  • Shanon G. 7y

Haha, Moa, I don't know what they are called in english either! =) I just call them pods, but that doesn't seem right. Thank you very much and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you, Steven! It's much appreciated.

That is wrapping paper! Wow. This is really cool Shanon. Very design inspired. It's quite pretty. Totally digging the contrast between the 2 elements, yet it's very soft. Excellent. So, when we were kids we called those maple seedling things "helicopters", for the way they spin when they fall to the ground. Did you? Also, as kids my friends and I would split them in half, peel back one of the halves, take out the little seed (it's sticky without the seed) and stick them on the ends of our noses. I don't remember why, but we did.

    Later *poof*
  • Shanon G. 7y

Oh geez, Erik. I'd pay to see a picture of that! Haha, well, maybe only a nickle, but it's still "paying." ; ) You know, I think we did call them helicopters, and also "whirlies" or something like that?

    Thank you!

I love the contrast of man's thought out designs verses natures free form design. Brilliant work!

I love this. I love the sweet femininity of both elements, and yet the distinct contrast between them is also lovely.
