Father / son moment

This was the best $21.66 I ever spent. I created a book out of a bedtime story I made-up for my kid one night.

That's awesome - how did you do it, and so inexpensively?

      Hi Miscelena,
It was cheap, and pretty easy to boot! There are two ways to do this. depending on your level of savvy. This particular book was made using Lulu's (lulu.com) print on demand publishing system. Essentially you give them a properly formatted PDF of the insides, and some cover art. Presto! Here is a Flickr set of closeups of the book.

Alternatively, if you aren't into making PDF's (They can be tricky to get the pictures just right) Just shoot over to blurb.com and download their free bookmaking software. Blurb is dead simple to use, and the books look great. They start under $30. Hardcover, Dustjacket, full color. Lulu will do a shiny hardcover with no dustjacket.

So which to choose? I wrote up a bunch more detail here.
