Walter Cronkite Documentary Sample

I produced a documentary for which we were able to get Walter Cronkite to narrate. It was a great experience to write words and then here them coming out in his voice during the session. And of course working with him one on one was a once in a lifetime experience, considering he retired when I was in the 6th grade...

In 1914 Guglielmo Marconi built a wireless station in Chatham, Cape Cod that would distinguish itself as the busiest ship-to-shore station in the Northern Hemisphere for most of the 20th century. With this historic operation he took the initial technological genius of the first transatlantic transmittion and transformed it into the business of wireless communication that is at the heart of today's radio, cell phones, and satellite transmissions. Chatham Radio WCC made historic transmissions with the Hindenberg, Amelia Earhart, Admiral Byrd, Howard Hughes, among others. Narrated by Walter Cronkite, produced by Barbara Cotnam, directed/edited by Christopher Seufert.
