The setup. Cheetahstand boom with a Yongnuo 560 III and battery pack, with a 1/4th CTO gel on the flash to blend ambient and flash temperatures to be similar (making it less obvious that flash is being used, looks more natural). Counter weight is a couple of coke cans (they came in handy later, boy it was hot!). Above subject placement of 43" Westscott umbrella, at a near 45 degree angle down (classic setup for portrait). Camera is on tripod, a 5D with EF 85 F1.8, which I will shoot at F2 in bright day light like this. On the lens is a 3 stop marumi ND filter to drop ambient light which allows the F2 aperture to be used without blowing out the sky. Yongnuo RF603 trigger used to do off camera flash triggering. Cheap little remote shutter to trip the camera so I can selfie, no timers used.
