Florida Black Bear (Ursus americanus floridanus)
It's not very often that I get to see a Black Bear in the wild. Last week I saw two within an hour of each other at Lake Lotus Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida. This 2 year old was in the woods foraging for food. It had just walked through a spider web that was covered with leaves and Spanish Moss. We were up on a boardwalk about four feet off the ground. It was wary of us but it still came within a few feet of us at one point.
The light was difficult. Mostly deep shade with a few light beams coming through the canopy. I tried to even out the contrast a bit in PS. This was handheld at 1/30 second. More below.
