September Primrose Moth

We have lost a lot of our local roadside habitat to road "improvements" which has made the Primrose Moths few & far between. Several places we used to find them either no longer exist or the flowers are mothless. It's been discouraging. Recently, we noticed a patch of Evening Primrose plants at the corner of the road through town & the main road. We stopped by, on September 2, 2012 to look & were thrilled to find many plants in bloom & two Primrose Moths in residence! What a pleasure to see them in Copake, New York, USA.
