We are in Day Five of the Hurricane Sandy emergency. All around us, we hear the hum of electric generators in the neighborhood. We have no generator, but we're getting by, through the use of a little creativity.
Without electric power, we also have no water, flushing toilets, land line telephones, heat, etc. Our cell phones do work, so I've been placing status updates on Facebook, and keeping in touch with family and friends. Halloween has been postponed in our community, at least until next week.
This morning, Janice and I came to another community for some hot coffee and wifi, at a Panera Bread restaurant. Hopefully, life will return to normal sometime this weekend!
