tabloid time

Day one hundred sixty-seven/365. Which celebrity has the softest belly? How did those scratches get on President Bush's face? (We have exclusive photos!). Biblical prophesies are coming true this year! Guess who's had cosmetic surgery! Is this couple getting a divorce already?

I've seen them all my life. Nestled in with the "impulse items" at the check-out are the publications with the information that people want to know.

There must be a big market for the tabloids. But, who buys them? Who believes them?

Among the people who buy tabloids, would they want those publications to feature articles on them?

My grandmother always used to buy tabloids. I don't know if she still waists her money...but she always had them when I was growing up. Not sure if she believed them or if it was pure entertainment for her.

You know, I didn't think of that. My grandmother used to buy them, too. I wonder what the average age would be of a customer who buys a tabloid . . .

My mom used to buy them when I was growing up....she was in her 40s and 50s during the time period I recall her buying them. I even remember reading them - not because I believed a word, but because it was quick reading when I was bored.

I think most of the tabloids are garbage. There is so much more important things and problems in the country than who is dating who, or who is wearing what. Someone must buy them though.

The fact that they stay in business must imply loyal customers. Sheesh!
